kita sering mengeluh kepanasan. Tapi bagaimana rasanya tinggal di tempat paling
dingin di dunia, nah berikut ini adalah 5 tempat yang memiliki suhu udara
paling dingin di dunia yang tentunya akan membuat Anda membeku :-D
Yakutsk, Rusia
Suhu terendah di ibukota wilayah Yakutia ini, mencapai minus 50 derajat Celcius, dan biasanya terjadi pada bulan Januari. Meskipun dingin banget, kota ini ternyata dihuni oleh cukup banyak orang lho. Setidaknya ada 200.000 orang yang tinggal di kota ini. Saking dinginnya, orang-orang sering membiarkan mobilnya menyala terus ketika mereka berhenti di suatu tempat. Soalnya mereka takut bensin di mobil ini bisa beku, sih. Selain itu, di kota ini juga ada peringatan untuk nggak memakai kacamata hitam. Maklum, bisa-bisa kacamata itu menempel di kulit kita dan merobek kulit kita karena terlalu dingin. Seram ya?

Delapan hari berkendara dengan mobil dari Yakutsk, baru kita akan ketemu Verkhoyansk, yang terletak pada Lingkaran Artik. Ada 1.300 orang yang tinggal di wilayah ini, dan sebagian besar bekerja sebagai pemburu atau menggunakan kereta salju untuk berkendara. Sebenarnya di wilayah ini terdapat banyak emas, tapi terlalu dingin untuk membuka tambang. Tempat yang dikenal dengan “Stalin’s Death Ring” ini hanya bisa dikunjungi saat musim dingin, ketika danaunya membeku. Suhu terendah di kota ini adalah minus 69 derajat Celcius.

Masih tetanggaan sama Verkhoyansk dan Yakutsk, Oymyakon yang hanya dihuni oleh 900 orang ini bisa mencapai suhu minus 71 derajat Celcius ketika musim dingin. Sedihnya, musim dingin di sini terhitung sangat lama, yaitu kurang lebih selama sembilan bulan. Dalam bahasa etnik Sakha Rusia, oymyakon berarti “air yang nggak beku”

Ini dia tempat terdingin di dunia. Dengan suhu terendah minus 89 derajat Celcius, Vostok, yang dalam bahasa Rusia berarti “timur”, hanya dipakai sebagai pusat penelitian milik Rusia. Mungkin karena terlalu dingin, nggak ada orang yang mau punya rumah di sini kali, ya?
